Either relieve UK residents of the burden television licence fees or stop the BBC television from circumventing their 'no commercials' policy.

The Issue

The BBC gets funded by Goverment support and television licences on the understanding they have no advertising. Lately they have screened programmes on the tenuous basis of public interest supposedly explaining how superstores obtain their goods. Another example was regarding the creation of choirs in large companies. This gave the companies concerned unprecedented television exposure which normally would have cost them several millions of pounds.

Examples:

"G**** W****** goes behind the scenes with Britain's biggest food retailers to discover how they source, make and move the food we find on the supermarket shelves"

"The Choir - Sing While You Work"

If the BBC are going to air such programmes then it should have some impact upon the financial burden of licence fees imposed upon all British residents.
