Having predictable air service is an essential component of any airport.  Unfortunately, Delta Airlines and its carrier partners do not meet this standard in Chattanooga.  The frequency of delays, cancellations, and mechanical problems in and out of the Chattanooga Airport are now the norm rather than the exception. This is unacceptable. The inability to plan on reliable air service is not only an aggravation for travelers, but it also makes our city less attractive for recruiting new industry and jobs to the region. Air transportation is paramount for our region to grow and prosper. The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority can no longer ignore this problem. It is time for Delta Airlines, all of its airline partners, and the Airport Authority to reestablish its expectations and provide reliable and predictable air service.
