BrewDog has reached a new low by releasing beer bottles made out of dead animals in their most recent publicity stunt. The End Of History features beer served in bottles made of stuffed animals at a price of £500 a bottle.

BrewDog co-founder James Watt describes The End Of History as 'a perfect conceptual marriage between taxidermy, art and craft brewing'. The packaging was created by a taxidermist and all the animals used were allegedly road kill. A limited edition of twelve bottles of The End Of History ale have been made and placed inside seven dead stoats, four squirrels and one hare.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Selling beer in the carcass of animals in a mere pursuit of cheap marketing tactics shows only a lack of respect for living beings. Even though the animals were not specifically killed for bottling the beer, profiting off their carcass in this form is disgraceful. Selling them as ”wrapping material” is degrading and offensive to anyone who cares about animals. Furthermore, displaying them as having bottles shoved down their throat only encourages animal abuse.

Using such provocative tactics that exploit animals in order to generate attention to your new ale is a new low for BrewDog. These animals should be respected as individual sentient creatures, even in the afterlife, instead of being put up for display and sale as part of a perverse publicity stunt.

This gimmick has only proven that BrewDog has very little consideration and compassion for animals.

I condemn this marketing stunt and sincerely hope that you will start showing respect towards animals and stop indulging in animal exploitation.
