Remove industrial hemp from controlled substance list.

The Issue

Wind, solar, hydro, hemp; industrial hemp has the capacity to be the fourth cornerstone of our energy future. With it we will build cars, homes, replace plastics and petroleum with bioplastics, and biofuels, restore the soil, remove carbon, rebuild manufacturing, and create millions of businesses and jobs while greening our Earth.
It is a violation of NAFTA to prevent our country from competing in the global marketplace by keeping this commodity on the controlled substance list. We must be allowed to export products made from locally grown industrial hemp as a measure of our own Most Favored Nation Trade Status. Beyond this it is unconscionable to limit or prevent growth of a crop that was created by a force greater than mankind, and a crop that is so beneficial to humankind.
