The Danville Humane Society is racist towards large breeds of dogs so they do not allow Pit Bulls to be adopted and they euthenize them in two weeks or less, they do the same to any large breed of dog not adopted such as German shepherds, Dobermans, and Rottweilers. They also charge way too much for adoption fees and requirements making it hard for people to adopt and save animal's lives. They have Ex Convicts working for them, which means they are sending Ex Convicts out to our houses, around children, to handle our pets. Ex Convicts who tried to pay to have innocent people murdered. Last but not least they make no effort to care for the animals in their hands, most of them are sick and living in the worst conditions possible. I could easily turn this into a no kill shelter that would only hire volunteers looking for community service work or credit hours for school. We would work to take care of the animals raising money to care for them. A part of their duties volunteering there will be to play with the animals as well so they get the socialization they need. Also to train them so that the dogs could be donated to handicapped and special needs children who cannot afford an animal of their own. Another brilliant way to ensure every dog is adopted out to a loving home. I would also lower the fees that it costs to adopt making it easier for more people to adopt, since the main reason is saving their lives not profiting from them like the current Danville Humane Society seems to think.
