Mr. Tovar has been a valued leader in the Hispanic community in Dallas ISD for over 35 years. As Principal at Sunset over the last six years, he has increased Sunset’s test scores by double digits. Sunset has the highest graduation rate of any other comprehensive high school in Dallas. Also because of Mr. Tovar in Federal standards, Sunset is no longer unacceptable but has advanced to being ACCEPTABLE.
