We, the citizens and friends of the city of North Adams,  demand that CVS halt plans to demolish St. Francis church, one of our most historic structures and part of our cultural heritage. While we welcome CVS’s investment in the future of our city, we also value our history and the character of our community. We believe that the right developer will repurpose the church building to preserve the historic steeple that has graced our beautiful skyline and greeted millions of visitors to North Adams. We haven’t forgotten the demolition of downtown in the 70’s and we won’t stand by to watch the same thing happen again.

We the undersigned believe that the St. Francis building should be saved and commit to taking our business elsewhere if CVS destroys this historic landmark.
