The United States spends nearly as much money and resources on its military as the rest of the world combined.  This runaway spending is wasteful, dangerous, and is robbing us of our future.  It absolutely must stop.

In 2009, the US alone accounted for 46% of military funds spent worldwide.  China was a distant second at 6.6%.  It is foolish and incredibly wasteful to continue to spend 40% of our discretionary federal fund budget paying for war, past and present.  We must step back from this war footing and bring our war dollars home.  The Pentagon budget must be cut, and cut substantially.
