Months after Catalonia voted to ban bullfighting, Spain has moved the cruel bullfighting industry to be regulated by the Culture Ministry instead of the Interior Ministry. This government move may protect bullfighting as a cultural activity, an age-old tradition. 

During a typical bullfight, a bull is attacked with metal lances in an attempt to draw as much blood as possible. The bull fights for his life as a cheering crowd watches. 40,000 bulls die a year for the sport. 

Catalonia voted to ban bullfighting because of its cruel impact on animals. It's time for the rest of Spain to follow suit. Bullfighting isn't culture. It's animal cruelty. Tell the Spanish government to ban this blood sport.
