As reported in the following link, this woman was arrested after her 25 year old son called police. For months, neighborhood pets were disappearing.  Pets not in her neighborhood were being stolen and she showed up at adoption fairs. The evidence was found. It's a prima facie case, meaning it can't be disputed. Dead animals were found buried in her backyard and dogs and cats, barely alive, were found hungry and dying in filthy cages. The torture would start when she asked her kids to hold a dog down. She would put duct tape around the dog's mouth and begin hitting him. The rest of the article describes the hell that these animals went through. There are many articles on the internet about Sharon McDonough of Farmingdale, Long Island. She was arrested, released in her own recognizance, and has pleaded Not Guilty. She is an evil, diabolical sociopath who has used her husband's car accident 5 years ago as the reason why she has done this. There is no way anyone can just start torturing animals at the level she has been operating at.  What's even worse, is that animal abusers, especially serial animal killers like this one, often become human serial killers. Nearly every serial killer that we know of began with animals. Just because there is no evidence linking her to any missing person, let's not forget there was no evidence leading to her neighbor's missing pets either.

If she is free to walk the street at this time and just be responsible for showing up in court, that is a travesty. She needs to be as far away from society as possible. She is still a danger to animals and a danger to children and anyone who is vunerable. She is evil and wicked and deserves nothing less than the most severe punishment under the law. In fact, a new law should be made for cases as bad as this.  The suffering of no one knows just how many animals for how long, possibly even before her husband's accident, in fact most probable before her husband's accident, needs to be taken into consideration.  The use of her children to help her with the torture needs to be taken into consideration.  She is a vile, dangerous individual.  We, the undersigned, are asking that this monster not be allowed to roam free in society now or for as long as possible. She also needs to be investigated further. There is most certainly a probability of child abuse, animal abuse and the role her husband may have played in this may never be known.
