Apple, please allow us to extend the diversity of Xcode 6 to other languages

Apple, please allow us to extend the diversity of Xcode 6 to other languages

The Issue

Many of us are enjoying the universality of ubiquitous Ruby at the moment.

For example, we are using Ruby for server app development, Ruby (via opalrb.org) in place of JavaScript in our browsers and Ruby for iOS and OS X development (via RubyMotion).

While the introduction of Swift is exciting, many of us will still chose other languages.  Ruby in particular has a powerful presence as noted above, especially when it is ultimately translated to obj-c or likely now Swift and provides native speeds to their target languages.

Please provide us the opportunity to extend Xcode 6 so that we can enjoy the fruits of Playgrounds and the other productivity boosting features that you've brought to us in this exciting release in other languages.

Specifically we request support or request the ability to extend it to support Ruby / RubyMotion, but I am sure that other people would also like such an opportunity to extend Xcode to support other languages as well and so we simply request the ability to openly extend Xcode going forward.
