Consumers are being burdened with 5 cents bag tax because Government Officials can't think of a better way to squeeze more money to pay for wasteful government spending. Why should we be punished with taxes and not get credit when we are forced to participate in programs that take away our right to get good customer service when we make a purchase. We should be entitled to have our newly-purchased merchandise properly handed to us. The bag tax law means more profits for the states and businesses. We are paying more each day and getting less. We are not only left holding the bags, we are also paying for them. It's time for consumers to be compensated and not punished.
