America has a sliver of hope of averting the climate change disaster scientists are forecasting, but only if the White House and Congress strip loopholes, bailouts, and giveaways to polluting interests from the climate bill, when under re-consideration.  We need astronomically more investment in solar energy, and none in nuclear.  We now face "the potential for abrupt climate change ... that could pose clear risks to society," according to the U.S. government's Global Change Research Program.
