Many Americans base their votes on what they hear or see on television including the commercials. Political commercials are filled with lies. They mislead Americans and there should be legal and monetary consequences to this. We need to instill integrity into the advertising that forms the opinions of a nation. And it appears the only way we can guarantee this is by penalty of the law. Though facts are easy to find, those responsible for most political ads, know that the average American will not check the facts but will believe what they see if it is said several times. This is fraud and should be treated as such. It is a crime against the American people and we have no protection against it. We must do something so all Americans can know each candidate through the facts of their lives, their work, and their promises.
