Members of Congress serve at the will of the people, to handle the business of the people. We desire a brave member of congress to formulate a piece of legislation which will tie direct compensation to direct work product completion. We are not asking for success or failure measures, we simply want congress to not play with our lives by living in the DC bubble of "my way or the highway". Increasingly, it is being proven that without a financial incentive that aligns with the compensation one receives for doing the people's work, members of Congress have the luxury of being stymied in political ideology and then we, the people, must suffer for their lack of effectiveness and efficiency. There should be direct penalty, not for making a choice one way or another, but for missing deadlines, and not completing the people's work. The uncertainty which members of congress cause as a result of their positioning is reckless. Election cycles are not frequent enough to directly stop the practice of political bantering. The American people should have an assurance that NO WORK gets NO PAY.
