It's time for Congress to demand a complete audit of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) safety, financial, and operating procedures. We are asking this be done in response to recent internal theft, safety issues including a recent derailment, and generally questionable operating practices that have led to WMATA's customers loss of faith in an organization that provides an essential service to our tri-state area.
