Donate land and support building an Animal Adoption Center

Donate land and support building an Animal Adoption Center
The Issue
Far too many adoptable animals in Chatham County are euthanized every year, including puppies and kittens.
Despite valiant efforts by Animal Control combined with heroic efforts by volunteers in the cat and dog rescue community, we know at least 50% of dogs and 80% of cats do not get time to find their forever homes due to lack of space. That's 8 out of 10 cats, and 5 out of 10 dogs who don't get a chance.
Given time, care and connectivity with potential adopters, these animals could be placed in life long homes. A proposed Adoption Center will give readily adoptable, and elderly and handicapped animals a place to thrive until they meet their life long guardian.
It's time we stopped euthanizing cats and dogs who are adoptable, and build an Animal Adoption Center where more cats and dogs, kittens and puppies can live.
It's time to have town or county land donated for the Animal Adoption Center, and support for this humane, community-building project to take shape at the town and county level.
