This is a hugely important issue to the Colorado Springs area, with far-reaching consequences.

CITY COUNCIL – NOT THE PUBLIC - has heard lots from representatives from the oil and gas industry and the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, which is very pro oil and gas, and from a few other specialists and outspoken citizens who were limited to three minutes of speaking, but this is not enough.

A full public hearing needs to be held, where people are allowed to speak for more than three minutes, to present viewpoints from all sides so that CITY COUNCIL AND THE PUBLIC can hear from experts: scientists, engineers, economists and attorneys as well as citizens living near existing & proposed fracking sites. This meeting needs to be held at a time when working people may attend, and with sufficient advance scheduling so that people with busy schedules and who live long distances from Colorado Springs can be invited to attend.
