The Issue

Petition Summary: We as motorcyclists pay $4.00 each year on our motorcycle registration and $2.00 when we renew our license. These fees go to help defer cost of training new rider and furthering education for experienced riders. This program, called the Motorcycle Operator Safety Training program started in 1991, has been audited in 2011 (first audit ever) and is in jeopardy. There are some issues that need to be corrected in the program and CDOT is working on them. There is legislation SB12-089 to repeal the program. This is a safety program, if it is repealed Colorado will be the first state in the country to eliminate a motorcycle safety program!!!
Action Petitioned For: We the undersigned are concerned motorcyclists who urge our leaders to act now to correct the problems in the MOST program and keep the reimbursements to defer the cost of training and keep training accessible to the citizens of Colorado
