Each year the Cole Bros. Circus travels thousands of miles across the eastern U.S. with a menagerie of animals including elephants and tigers. The circus has a horrible history of animal abuse and neglect, and of violating federal laws intended to protect animals.This winter season, Cole Bros. Circus will be traveling through Brevard County. Brevard is beautiful, but this circus sure isn't. Brevard is made up of towns that are good for raising children. It's no secret that circuses are no places for animals, and as a community, its important to think of ourselves and our children first. Circus acts for wild animals are not natural, and when seeing exotic animals, families should experience it firsthand, not through the unnatural. The animal kingdom has done nothing to us, yet we continue to rank them lesser than we. As a community, we are better than that, and we can make the difference and show our children that circus acts are no way to treat animals. We can also show that we're less of the animals we sometimes show we are. Let's get this circus out of Brevard.
