Clorox, Make Burt's Bees Products like they were! Keep it HONEST!

The Issue

Since Burt's Bees was sold to Clorox in 2007 for nearly a billion dollars, the formulations of MANY tried, trusted and true products have been reformulated. There have been complaints of odor, skin irritation, and the product not being as effective as it once was to name a few. Most long term and loyal customers have noticed the changes, but not the newcomers to the line. What was once a product that was sold only at select vendors, is now sold at Wal-mart.

Burt's Bees was founded from the ground up in the United States in the backyard of two entrepreneurs. Packaging was once very eco-friendly (steel and glass, limited use of plastics). Now, most products use plastic packaging.

Now the products are being sold world wide. This is an amazing evolution, but it has a cost.

Whether a new or old Burt's Bees fan, consumers should be aware of these changes. Labels should clearly state the ingredients, and when a formulation is changed the packaging should clearly label what has changed.

We are loyal members of the hive, but recent changes have us thinking about swarming and seeking a new hive. Please return to the old formulations, clearly label what ingredients were changed to improve the products, and return to eco-friendly packaging.

PLEASE use the original recipes and formulations for Burt's Bees products! We would love our beloved line of health and beauty products to remain the same, and many of us would be willing to pay for the quality products that were once the mainstay of Burt's Bees.

Thank you for listening!
