Today ASCMC President Aditya Pai sent a memo to the Claremont McKenna College administration calling for a discussion regarding CMC's unique social culture, the role that the school's social scene plays in developing leaders, and and the future of the college. CMC's unique balance of academic and social culture is a part of what helps it to create effective leaders with deep social influence and strong interpersonal skills. We want to protect this culture from misguided administrative policies that are slowly breaking down CMC's social scene and hurting the unique culture and attitudes that differentiate CMC from other liberal arts institutions.
