Shut down the Olympic Animal Sanctuary and end the suffering of the dogs or transfer them to a better facility.

The Issue

In the pink warehouse called the Olympic Animal Sanctuary located in Forks, Washington, upwards of 100 dogs are being kept in close confines without proper food and clean water. Many do not even have access to water. They are fed only every other day with unrefrigerated raw animal parts; the meat is delivered frozen but is not kept cold. Imagine the sickness and disease this can cause. Many (if not most) of these dogs are kept in tiny, dirty cages (travel crates); these crates are stacked one on top of another, and the dogs inside are not let out for exercise. Donations have in the past been given for specific dogs to have improved living conditions, but if anything the living conditions have grown worse as the donations are not used for the intended purposes.

I believe it is part of our duty as human beings to care compassionately and intelligently for the life on our planet. These dogs deserve better; if they can't be adopted because of their aggression or fear, let them be transfered to another shelter that will properly care for them; or, let them peacefully end their lives. They don't deserve to die in a hell-hole filled with the stink of their own feces and urine, unappreciated and uncared-for.
