Donkeys are forced to run by being shocked with a cattle prod, headed (roped around the neck) and heeled (roped around the feet) and literally strung up between two horses. The body of a donkey cannot withstand this without injury to the neck and windpipe, often crushing it, and bones in the legs are often broken in heeling. Donkeys are NOT cattle - no horns to rope! It does terrible things to their disposition, as well, that they carry with them for life. They are such gentle, intelligent creatures. Please stop this!

Please also stop the Hallelujah Trail Cowboy Burro Ranch Rodeo which is scheduled for 10/27/2012! Being held at the same location and organized by the same people. 3-man teams compete in sorting, branding and burro dressing.
