It has been more than a year since this facility was asked to photograph all the animals in it's care and to post them online.  We have been met with rudeness, ignorance and hostility.  They continue to kill most of the animals that are so unfortunate to find themselves there.

It is understood that Dublin Laurens Humane Society kills 80% to 90% of the animals that enter their facility. Reports have been requested, and they have refused to release their numbers. Most of their funding is from tax dollars. Building a No Kill Community, saving the lives of more of the community's companion animals will make Laurens County a better place to live for everyone. Dublin Laurens Humane Society must implement the No Kill Equation.

In order to accomplish this, there must be a regime change. Removal of the entire Board of Directors and Director of the facility, Irene Sumner, is essential.

NO KILL REVOLUTION QUOTE OF THE DAY... It is the good in "people" that will bring about a No Kill nation. The difference in traditional sheltering and the no kill movement is that we believe that most people are compassionate and will help shelter pets if the community leaders lead the way.
