There has been a recent debate about the need for the Maternity Ward at the Chinchilla Hospital. People who not only live in Chinchilla but a bit further west and in surrounding areas depend on this hospital for it's maternity services. Let's face it, we are considered 'country folks' and there is ALWAYS going to be a huge requirement for maternity services! The Maternity Ward here in Chinchilla must stay open, regardless of the boom. Further, it is essential that there be more state of the art technology and facility space added to this growing and much needed part of the Chinchilla Hospital.
