Every day children are left in abusive homes with parents in active addiction and/or other mental health diseases. The cause goes unaddressed and none of the family members real problem is identified and treated. No laws are in place to require that the children be moved to a safe healing environment and parents complete an extended teatment program for the illness before the child is condsidered to be returned to the home. Also, no required follow up to verify the parents commitment to change is in place. 

Thus the problem goes on, unidentified and unaddressed and the abuse of all continues from generation to generation.

Write to your state and national representatives today and tell them to do, whatever it takes, to pass child care reform that truly addresses the problem.
