Franklin Avenue has come a long way over the past few years and the Impact Zone has been a huge factor in its revitalization; new businesses are opening and community spirit has greatly improved. However there is still a persistent threat on the Avenue of illegal activity and the accompanying gun violence that has traditionally plagued Franklin Avenue. The loss of the Impact Zone has the potential to reverse the progress that has been made and precipitate a sharp decline towards former dangerous conditions.
