The Safety and Security of the over 4300 Students, Teachers and Administrators of one of the truly great School Programs in the Chicago Public School System has been overlooked for too long. With the Park District's expansion of the facilities in Clark Park, Kerry Woods Cub Field and the Clark Park boathouses, both boons to the school and community at large, it is no longer acceptable that there is no security in and around Lane Tech. Currently there are no lights or security cameras in the parking lot which will be used by an ever increasing school and community population. While we respect the issues that CPS is faced with everyday it is time for the Chicago Public School System to step up and correct this dangerous oversight. If, as CPS is so very fond of stating, the security and safety of it's students are it's first concern, then this situation must change now,
