My father in law runs a small business to try and supplement his meager income from SS & Teachers pension. He ran into a billing dispute with one of his vendors, and they have repeatedly attempted to debit his bank account. On Friday he went to Chase Bank and closed the account, and brought it to a zero Balance. The Banker did not place a block on the account for all further activity, as he was told by Telephone Bankers was standard practice. Now in THREE DAYS THEY HAVE CHARGED HIM $300 in fee ($100 daily) with no end in sight. The account can not be closed without him paying these fees which should never have accrued, and without him having the account closed properly, which the banker did not do on Friday when there was a zero balance, these erroneous charges will continue to accrue. Tell Jamie Dimon to stop covering his trading losses on the backs of Senior Citizens and Small Business owners.
