SUNY New Paltz currently has a "No Second Chance*" policy on marijuana possession. If a student is caught twice they face expulsion. Most other SUNY schools do not have this policy. Since New York State's policy for underage alcohol possession is virtually the same as its policy for marijuana possession, the school's policy should mirror the state's policy. Students should not have their education threatened because they use marijuana. Sign the petition if you believe SUNY New Paltz should change their policy!
