Dear All,
I hope everyone is having a good Summer. I was working out at the beach today with LT and he informed me that he was let go by Chadwick on Tuesday, August 11th, the day before our high school team was suppose to start practice. The reason he was given was that he "doesn't care enough about the kids". Mr. Goodspeed (the current athletic director) said he overheard LT saying that he could have been training kids instead of coaching our annual King of the Hill Tournament. He said this out of frustration because we were playing poorly against Mary Star, which we all know is a team that we should crush.
We all know from personal experience that he puts more into our training and coaching than most. He definitely cares. For me personally, I know that I wouldn't be where I am today as a man or athlete with out LT's help.
I don't know all the facts about why he was fired, but what I want to do is create a petition that is supported by both his former athletes and their parents who know and appreciate LT for all he has done for us and our school. Please spread this to everyone that LT has helped to not only coach, but also mentor over his time at Chadwick. I am going to email Mr. Goodspeed about going to speak with him and I would really appreciate it if other people who played for him came with me in order to show their support for LT. He has given a lot to us and I know it would mean a lot to him if we came together and showed our support for him no matter the outcome.
