The Fulbright and Peace Corps programs are two of America's premier post-graduate programs. Many banks offer the chance to defer principal payments on Student Loans to allow students to participate in these life defining programs.

In 2010 Discover Financial Purchased Citi Bank's Student Loan Operations, which are is the second largest student loan originator. Discover does not offer the option to even apply for deferment. This places a great financial burden on grantees as they embark on their one to three years of service abroad. 

Help me to get Discover / CitiStudentLoans to change their stance on this issue!
