Apologize to America for the unpatriotic Hanoi episode of The Amazing Race

The Issue

Anyone who watched Sunday, March 17th's episode of The Amazing Race probably wondered why it was glorifying Vietnam's Communist ideals. They were probably outraged when they saw the B-52 "memorial" being used as just another place to stick the red and yellow box containing the contestants' next clue. While it is not outrageous that they traveled to Vietnam, what I do find deplorable is the use of the memorial, where an American plane was shot down, as a prop. No matter the show's (or CBS') take on the Vietnam War, American lives were lost and it should not be taken so lightly. CBS and The Amazing Race owe an apology to America, and especially the veterans and those who lost loved ones in the Vietnam War.
