A Different World has generated a positive outlook on African Americans attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities(HBCU). This sitcom has shared the positives and negatives attribute on being a young black professionals in society. This show has also addressed race, class relation, HIV/AIDS in the black community and significance of historical African American fraternities and sororities.
