Cargill, the largest supplier of palm oil from Southeast Asia and the Pacific to the United States, is destroying tropical rainforests, displacing forest-dependent communities, and accelerating global climate change for its palm oil plantations.

The impacts of Cargill and its suppliers' plantations in tropical rainforest countries around the world are severe. For instance, the clearing and burning of rainforests leads to loss of critical habitat for endangered species like the orangutan and the displacement of Indigenous people and small farmers.
