Cargill: Keep Slave Labor Out of America’s Food Supply

Cargill: Keep Slave Labor Out of America’s Food Supply
The Issue
Cargill purchases palm oil from plantations that use slave labor —and then distributes that palm oil to hundreds of America’s household food brands.
Environmental and human rights violations by Cargill’s supplier, Kuala Lumpur Kepong (KLK), have implicated Cargill in egregious abuses such as slave labor and illegally logging rainforest on carbon rich peatlands. KLK has also just breached Indonesia’s two year logging moratorium on the very first day it was set to go into effect.
Please take action today to demand that Cargill adopt safeguards that prevent these terrible human rights violations.
