Cancer Barbie

Cancer Barbie

The Issue

Mattel should make a Barbie with no hair for every little girl fighting cancer. One that comes with a head scarf, and donate the proceeds to the Cancer Foundation. It will help the little girls self esteem, and show them that they are beautiful. The proceeds would help fund research to cure cancer. Every year in the United States, approximately 10,400 children under age 15 are diagnosed with cancer and about 1,545 children will die from the disease. Every second, two Barbies are sold somewhere all over the world. Mattel reported earnings of $225.3 million dollars; and that was just over a three month period! Mattel could help these children.
