Cancel the Licence of privately operated DriveTest Centers in Ontario

Cancel the Licence of privately operated DriveTest Centers in Ontario

The Issue

Ontario Drivers Examination failure rate has gone up to increase the profit of privately operated examinations centers called DriveTest centers.

Drivers Examinations Centers in ontario are operated by a private company named Serco DES Inc which was founded in London, UK.

Since the Government of Ontario handed over the Drivers Licensing Examination centers to a private company called Serco DES, it has become a profit organization.

Licensing the Ontario Drivers is service that should be provided by the Government of Ontario and it should be operated in the form of a non-profit organization to serve Ontarions.

"Ontario outsourced driver testing in 2003 to Serco Group, a British corporation that signed a 10-year, $138 million contract with the Progressive Conservative government" -Toronto Star.

Serco DES or DriveTest is profitable organization which solely  makes money by making the Student drivers fail the exams.

Many Ontarions have raised their voices agaist the increased failure rates of Driving Exams since the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) handed over theDrivers Licensing to Serco DES.

We expect atleast 10,000 signatures from Ontarions. This is being sent to Minister of Transportation Ontario.
