Coach Cranford did the right thing by his student players and the Newfoundland Canada Hockey Tournament by telling officials that his players were studying for final exams and would not make the ceremonies which resulted in the coaching ban.

Tournament officials got bent out of shape as Coach Cranford's team did not show for initial and end ceremonies.  Volunteer Coach was banned $2,000 CD for allowing players to study for exams instead of attending.
