CSUN's "Mission, Values, and Vision" states "Respect for All People. We aspire to behave as an inclusive, cooperative community. Our behaviors, policies, and programs affirm the worth and personal dignity of every member of the University community and contribute to a campus climate of civility, collegiality, tolerance, and reasoned debate."

 Many members of the LGBTQ CSUN community and its allies feel it is inappropriate to allow the restaurant Chick-Fil-A to use CSUN facilities to gain profit by distributing, selling, or advertising their products on CSUN grounds because of the restaurants affiliation with and their donations to groups such as Focus On the Family, Family Research Council, and Exodus International. These three groups strongly oppose LGBTQ rights. In 2009 alone, Chick-Fil-A donated nearly $2 million dollars to such groups that wish to violate and halt our endeavors toward our human rights. 

In order to "affirm the worth and personal dignity of every member of the University community", join CSUN's Matadors For Equality  in it's efforts to disallow and stand up to corporations that infringe on our values and diversity as a community.
