Government, as well as any business, is comprised of nothing more than the PEOPLE.  We must expect commitment to American values from the PEOPLE at ***all levels***, otherwise we will not have accountable representatives.  The movement to break this country into sections: (Poor and powerless, Business,  Government) is detrimental to this nation.

Recognizing that government is nothing more than the PEOPLE, I pledge to stop turning to my elected officials to fix every problem in this country.  I will use my purchasing power to run crooks out of business, and freeloaders off the social welfare system, and I will wield my voting power to run crooks out of office. 

I pledge to rely on more than emotions and faceless blog comments when forming decisions about my investment of energy and financial support. 

I pledge to withdraw financial support from ANY organization or entity which fails to yield **real** results.

I will accept that, as Americans, some people will freely choose to make careless decisions regardless of the counseling, opportunities and chances given to them.  When they fail to hold up their end of an agreement, I will withdraw support, whether they are private citizens receiving social services, business entities receiving my money, or politicians receiving my support.
