Can you imagine being hurt by a loved one and not know who to call for help?

Tuesday Oct 11, 2011 By a vote of 7 to 3, the Topeka KS City Council repealed the local law that makes domestic violence a crime.. Why you ask? Well to force the district attorneys office to prosecute misdemeanor domestic violence cases of course.

Eighteen people have been arrested for domestic violence since September and released without charges because no agency is accepting new cases.

This is unacceptible and cannot be allowed to continue. Peoples lives are at stake and this is not a game. Victims of domestic abuse have been failed by the criminal court systems over and over. Can you sit by while even one City says it's not a crime to intimately terrorize someone in their own family?
