The Issue

Saad Nabeel was brought to the United States from Bangladesh as a toddler, his family seeking political asylum.

Due to massive backlogs in the immigration system, the alloted time to complete the asylum process ran out for Saad's family. His father finally received a visa and went to ask for more time, but instead was arrested and deported.

18-year-old Saad, separated from his parents and locked up in detention, was forced to sign a statement that he wouldn't return to the U.S. for 10 years under threat of criminal charges.

He's now fighting to return to America, the only home he knows.

His best hope is a private bill introduced by his Congressperson -- please sign to ask your representatives to introduce a bill in support of the youth.
