Bring TOUCH 106.1 FM Back on Boston's Airwaves!

The Issue

My name is "Sugar Lump" aka Rebecca, and I am a former intern of TOUCH 106.1 FM, located in the Grove Hall section of Boston, MA. I am writing to you asking for your support in helping TOUCH 106.1 FM's co-founder Charles Clemons, as well as TOUCH's countless staff & volunteers, to help get us back on Boston's airwaves.

On April 17, 2014 TOUCH 106.1 FM, of Boston, MA was raided by U.S. Marshalls, for not being "licensed" by the FCC. TOUCH FM currently has a request for a license pending.

TOUCH FM for the last 8 years, has served Bostons: Roxbury, Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, Hyde Park, and Roslindale communities. We have been the "station that can build a nation". TOUCH has offered the African American Community of Boston a profanity-free, family-friendly radio station. We keep our Community informed with what's going on in our neighborhoods, as well as the City of Boston. We touch on content that affects our communities--politics, community outings, and fundraisers just to name a few.

TOUCH FM has gone above and beyond on a local level. Some of the countless things the TOUCH FM family has done to better serve our community include:

 * Feeding the homeless
 * Covering funeral expenses for local families who could not afford to bury their loved ones
 * Re-uniting lost children with their families
 * Re-uniting lost grandparents with their families
 * Giving away Turkey Dinner's to several families in need during Thanksgiving

and many more!

With the FCC shutting TOUCH 106.1FM down, a big hole has been left in the heart of Boston; a void. We not only have listeners in the city of Boston, we have listeners from all over the world! All that we want to do at TOUCH 106.1 FM, is provide the Black Community, and those who cannot speak for themselves, a voice where their needs can be met and their voices can be heard.

Will you support TOUCH (WTCH) 106.1FM, "The Fabric of the Black Community"?
