Sarah Kate Haddon was an ideal student in high school: spectacular grades, involved in her community, invested in her peers, and working for a bright future.  The first time she submitted her application to Appalachian State University, she was overlooked and rejected.  However, they reexamined her application and have admitted her as soon as they have space.  As of now, that guarantees her a spot in the spring of 2012.  Until then, she is on a waiting list for the Fall 2011 semester, hoping for a spot to open up.

As a student at Appalachian State and a friend of Sarah's, I don't think it's fair for her to wait an extra semester!  She's worked incredibly hard and deserves a spot in the Fall semester.  I think she will truly have an impact on the academic community, and really make a difference at Appalachian State.

Please sign this petition, in hopes that administration will bring Sarah to the top of the waiting list, and give her a better chance at being at App State in the Fall!!
