Dogs, cats, and puppies are being put to sleep due to the delay in the opening of the newly remodeled shelter. Part of the existing shelter has been CLOSED. Ms Barnette has done nothing but "pass the buck" and blamed it on delayed construction. At a 200k a year salary (in this recession), she should at the very least be able to "get it right" and properly protect and serve the city's displaced animals.
