Change dress code policy to allow student to observe dress code according to their religious belief.

Change dress code policy to allow student to observe dress code according to their religious belief.
The Issue
It is very alarming that a high ranking educational institute like BRAC University is not allowing its student to observe dress code according to their religious belief and identity. On 12th September BRAC University banned student wearing Niqab based on their dress code policy. This action of BRAC University is a clear discrimination against the female Muslim students of the university. Wearing Niqab is a common practise of Muslim women in Bangladesh which is a Muslim majority country. In all the universities of Bangladesh, students enjoy freedom of wearing dress according to their religious belief. However preventing students to wear dress code according to their religious belief is a clear violation of human rights. We demand BRAC University to change their dress code policy and allow students to dress according to their religious belief.
