Boycott the New York Post for their racist cartoon!

The Issue

On Weds. Feb. 18th, the New York Post ran an offensive political cartoon involving police, a chimpanzee and a reference to the stimulus package. If anybody has not seen this cartoon check out this article:

Racism is alive and well in the US!!!! (Obviously)
This is not acceptable in a so-called civilized society. The Post stands behind this cartoon: Editor-in-Chief of New York Post Col Allan said: "The cartoon is a clear parody of a current news event -- the shooting of a violent chimpanzee in Connecticut. It broadly mocks Washington's efforts to revive the economy."
But this "cartoon," even if you give them some leeway, still reeks of racism and callousness.
Join me in not just boycotting the New York Post, but send them an email letting them know that you are boycotting them. Be sure to tell them why. Progressive people don't find "cartoons" like this amusing or even appropriate!

We have been gardening for the last 4 years. We have slowly evolved into organic heirloom gardeners. We are hoping this year to be able to set up as small time farmers at a local Farmer's Market so we can share our local produce with other people! As you can see from my picture, we managed to grow a monstrous cauliflower this last season.....We plan to focus mostly on peppers though. Growing peppers (and eating them of course) is a passion of ours.
