If the MPAA and their like are concerned about US property being "Pirated" and their loss of "Revenue", then let's show them that we are FULLY PREPARED to Cut their income off ENTIRELY. Dear readers,

 

I am a firm believer of a free world, and a free Internet. I'm sure you all already know about SOPA and PIPA, so let me just say this: These bills are being pushed onto a world that already has the technology to do such a thing; these Bills are NOT designed as Anti-Piracy tools, but instead as freedom breaking tools. But this isn't about SOPA and PIPA any more. Not directly at least. The MPAA has threatened to remove their funding from the Government should they continue to protest their bills.

 

IS that RIGHT?

 

NO.

 

So, I say, If Hollywood is willing to Boycott the government, I say WE Should be willing to Boycott THEM!

So, MPAA, What will it be?

 

Here is what I am proposing,

 

I, the writer of this, will ONLY support ONE. industry: a free-Internet society. 

 

That means: if I can get it online, Paid for or not, That is where I will get it. I don't care if it's pirated, or if I bought it legally. As long as it has never passed through the MPAA's hands, I will take it.

 

What I am asking for is this: to show you Hollywood folk that we, the public are WILLING AND FULLY PREPARED to BOYCOTT YOUR PRODUCTS. This is all this petition is for. Showing that you are prepared to do it.

 

If the MPAA are concerned about their "U.S. property" being "Pirated" and their loss of "Revenue", then we will show the MPAA members that we, the people, are FULLY PREPARED to Cut their income off ENTIRELY.  That's right: This is what I'm saying right here and now:  I, and I hope that the signers as well, am going to STOP paying for movies. I am going to stop visiting Movie theaters. I am going to stop BUYING American Movies on DVD. 

 

I, the writer, as a person and Individual, am only going to buy one thing on DVD from now on: Anything Made ORIGINALLY from another country. That means anything from British Television to Japanese Anime- As Long as it doesn't originate from the MPAA's Desk in Hollywood, I'm going for it. 

 

So, I ask of the people that sign this if they think that if the MPAA are willing to pull their financial support from an organization, then so are we.

 

So, What'll it be, Hollywood? 

 

SOPA and PIPA, or no customers?

 

I say, Drop your "AntiPiracy" Bills, and keep your customers.
